Very practical pairs of earbuds albeit being my first pair of true wireless earbuds. I am someone who likes practicality and things that can be used on numerous occasion. So when it comes to true wireless, I am yet to have enough confidence to own one due many competition still being fairly new to it. However, Klipsch comes in just the right time to catch my attention.
Their partnership with McLaren who runs a F1 Team, meant that they have the expertise to commit to producing robust and reliable products. On top of that, Klipsch has a decent amount of reputation already for their reliability. With that, I went on to read through reviews and watch review videos, of which most has decent view on the pair of earbuds. To top it off, this is the T5 II, which is the second gen T5 meaning that it comes with improvements from their first T5 wireless earbuds.
It is not a product that is perfect in everything, don't get me wrong. There are genuinely many others that can offers better product in various different aspect/focus. However, it is the best option that I can find to suit what I want for my lifestyle. It being sport focused product meant that I can wear it for most of my routine, from workout to outdoor activities, from listening my tunes to virtual call meeting working at home. It truly is a nice all around pair of earbuds.
The Klipsch offers a fairly decent dust/waterproof rating among its competitors, boasting an IP67, though I am definitely not wearing it to a pool or anything. The bass are decent enough for me to enjoys most of my tunes from Spotify and YouTube. It sits tight in my ear, with various options of ear-tips and wings to choose for fitting, although these do take a while to get through to find the most comfortable option. Furthermore, they offer quite the generous amount of listening hours, roughly 8 hours max plus another 24 hours from the case that comes with it, without having to plug in the cable for charging again. So far I have no problem or disruption using it to listen to my music throughout the day sitting on my desk working at office or from home. Whenever I am done with it, I just have to place it back into the case and let it do its magic. During meeting call, I can hear my teammate crispy clear and so can they listen to mine without any issue. The microphones in these tiny gadget are really some magics there and the sound isolations are pretty good too.
However, they do have some areas where they're doing good but not beyond yet. One thing in particular is that while wearing these outside, walking through the street or sitting in a transit, the transparency mode does allow me to hear passing by cars or some destination announcement by the transit but that's about it. If there are passerby that is going to ask me for directions, I will only see their mouth moving and not hear anything clear. So, I will have to either take these pair of earbuds off or turn down the volume in hopes that the transparency mode which transmit outside voice through its mic to my ears can let me hear them. Additionally, the wireless charging pad that comes in the package, function as it intended to but occasionally it will stop charging all by itself while the case only shows two LED light which is roughly 60-70% charged rather than something like 80% from three LED light. This means that if I depend on wireless charging, it won't give me a full 32 hours listening time from the case plus the earbuds. So in the end, the best option would be to plug the charging cable into the case for a full charge.
In conclusion, I would say it's a really good and nice pair of true wireless earbuds if you are looking for one that can be wore for nearly every occasion and not a particularly specific one like you would with a Beats, Apple Earpod, or a Sony in my opinion. The McLaren edition also offers a sportier look and feel to it as well as great build quality, which further satisfy my choice of first true wireless earbuds that I own.
