Frequently Asked Questions

With Era 100 coming into the market does that mean you’ll stop selling Sonos One/One SL?

Era 100 effectively replaces the Sonos One however we will continue to sell Sonos One and One SL while stocks last.

Why isn’t Era 100 spatial audio enabled?

While spatial audio is an incredible immersive experience, we don’t believe every speaker needs to be optimized for the format. Era 100 offers wide dispersion, impressive clarity and deep bass, designed for room-filling stereo sound with an astonishing new level of acoustic quality, all in a compact form that blends into any home.

What are the main differences between Era 100 and the Sonos One?

Only slightly larger than its predecessor Sonos One, Era 100 features all-new hardware and software, with next-gen acoustics that is noticeably more powerful and delivers deep bass and detailed stereo sound.

Why isn’t Google Assistant available on Era 100 or Era 300?

Google has changed the technical requirements for Google Assistant on 3rd party devices. We’re evaluating these requirements, but it’s a heavy engineering lift and we’ll continue to prioritize work that builds on our vision of voice assistants all working concurrently.  We remain hopeful that Google Assistant will be part of this ecosystem one day, but that’s really up to Google.

  2. Speaker must be set up over WiFi with the Sonos app before playing audio. Adapter and auxiliary cable both sold separately.
  3. Amazon Alexa availability varies by country and language. Amazon account required. Compatible smart devices require internet connection. Some features may require enabling Alexa Skills.
