We are involved in decision-making processes and have an elevated level of responsibility for the company thanks to our flat organisational structure.

At 18 years old, I was entrusted with the role of a Part-Time Channel Manager. This entailed working with experienced retail store staff 2 -3 times my age to progress the store. Despite having no prior experience, our Sales Directors held weekly training sessions to equip me. My ideas would be heard, refined and implemented. I grew in my communication skills and confidence. Eventually, I was even given the opportunity to be a Media Event Spokesperson, alongside my CEO, in Hong Kong and Malaysia. I am thankful to work at a company where I am empowered and valued.

During a quarterly evaluation, I expressed my interest in business development. Our CEO arranged a meeting to discuss how to make this a reality, as I was in a totally unrelated role. Shortly after, the company created a new position for me that meets both the business needs and my personal goals. I’m grateful to work in a company where leadership genuinely prioritizes our aspirations and growth.

Building a great team takes hands-on action. After an internal quarterly staff survey, the results would be looked through one-by-one and should anything float up, meetings to provide the employee a safe space to share more would be set up.

The part-time job I never resigned from. I began my TC journey as a brand ambassador while still a student. My managers trained me in sales and channel management and taught me values that built my character. As I grew, I was entrusted with more responsibilities, leading to an opportunity to relocate to Hong Kong and spearhead a brand expansion. Now, at 31, I’m the youngest Assistant Director, managing our Hong Kong office and overseeing brand and marketing efforts across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

Our owners launched the #TCcares initiative, providing financial help to nearly 70 freelance promoters and former employees during the pandemic. With stores shuttered, these promoters and their families faced financial difficulties overnight. TC paid up to 100% of their monthly salary, tailored to their individual situation. In every circumstance, TC prioritizes people over profit and relationships over revenue.
