It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here at our TC Retail Store!
Did you know? It took our Visual Merchandising team only 7 days’ time to conceptualise and bring our mini Santa’s theme park to life! We had a quick chat with our Visual Merchandiser Manager, Sylvia Ang, on how the magic happened.
Q: How did this idea come about?
Sylvia: This is the first year that our company has 5 different brands. We wanted to do something that was out of the box and fresh to both commemorate this and showcase all the brands!
Q: What was the inspiration behind this display?
Sylvia: I was walking down Orchard road one night and saw many impressive Christmas window displays from different brands. I couldn’t help but be inspired. I took some photos to share with the team. Then on the very next day, we came together to brainstorm and shared more ideas we found online too. The conceptualisation process took about 3 days and we had 3 iterations before our final design.
For us, we wanted to break out of the usual displays where we used our point-of-sales stations or gondolas. We wanted to break out of the mold of most consumer electronics retail stores.
Each frame was planned to represent a brand and to tell a story. Our overarching theme was to make it FUN as we share about gifting this season. Many things may have changed this year, but one of the things that have remained the same is music and the connections we have and the emotions we feel. Good audio can still take us on this ride together. Here’s how our products each played a part in the storytelling:

Frame 2: Klipsch True Wireless Series
We had 7 different Klipsch True Wireless (TWS) products in total. At the same time, we were very inspired by a window display of a ferris wheel. So we thought: "Why not use this concept for Klipsch TWS series?" It fits perfectly as the carriages for the ferris wheel!
Frame 3: Urbanears TWS + Marshall headphone + Adidas headphone
The idea was for it to be a roller coaster, with the Urbanears TWS as the roller coaster cars. The headphones are suspended via 2 claw machines, which is also in line with the amusement park theme!
Frame 4: Marshall Portable Speakers Series
Like the visual shows, the Marshall speakers are the carriages of a hot air balloon ride - which is perfect because the portable speakers are great for the big outdoors.
Q: How did the team make it happen in such a short time?
Sylvia: Our signature TC can-do attitude of course! In TC we always make things happen, and not at the expense of quality or excellence. Also, without everyone in the team, this wouldn't have been possible!
