This is my 3rd purchased for Sonos products and I am pleased to say that they all have the same unique sound either from Sonos One or Sonos Arc. Easily grouped all of them and my whole house is like theatre. No latency effect and my family is enjoying very much. Looking forward to getting a Sonos Sub Woofer to complete the sound system. Lastly, I will like to thank TC Acoustic staff for his professionalism and I have no doubt in purchasing the Sonos Arc. I am really proud owning Sonos sound system.
Easy to set up. Wireless connections work perfectly. Greatly improved sound of my TV program.
Super satisifed with my purchase. Previously, I had to settle for "thin" sounding in-built speakers from my LG TV which lacked any depth or "fullness". Was considering between a few brands, and decided on the SONOS Arc for not just its design and sound quality, but the ease of set up and adding speakers to the ecosystem within my home.
Downsized from a full-size 5.1 system with floorstanding speakers, center, bookshelf surrounds and 10” sub. Decided to simplify the whole setup and go Atmos as well.
The Arc is good with music but really shines with movies. Originally didn’t plan to get the sub but ended up with a sub 1 week later, which adds even more improvements to the Arc
In summary, for the $ vs quality, it’s quite worth it.
Thank you for trusting Sonos for your home experience! Great to know that the Sonos set-up was a great and comparable replacement to your previous system. Yes, Sonos aims to simplify all the home set-up making it look great aesthetically. Next up, you can choose to get the surrounds to make it a 5.1 system again, but this time, all connected wirelessly :)
Arc supports Dolby Atmos, which other products do not, and increases chances of receiving a Dolby Digital 5.1 signal.
Arc supports increased bandwidth for the higher quality audio of Dolby Atmos. It also includes upwards-firing speaker drivers that act as height channels, reflecting sound off your ceiling for additional dimension.
Arc streams audio over your WiFi network and does not support Bluetooth.
Connect Arc to your TV's ARC/eARC port using the incuded HDMI cable or your own. If your TV does not have HDMI, Arc comes with the Sonos Optical Audio Adapter.
eARC stands for enhanced Audio Return Channel. It allows full-resolution sound signals, including Dolby Atmos, to be passed from your TV to the soundbar.
Sonos Arc can connect to TVs with eARC, ARC, or optical outputs. For greatest compatibility, eARC is recommended.
If you connect to a TV with eARC, the Dolby audio formats supported include Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, MAT, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Digital.
If you connect to a TV using ARC, the Dolby audio formats supported are dependent on your TV model and manufacturer. The TV may be capable of sending Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Digital. An ARC connection cannot support TrueHD or MAT.
If you connect to a TV using the optical adapter, the Dolby audio formats supported are dependent on your TV model and manufacturer. The TV may be capable of sending Dolby Digital. An optical connection cannot support Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, MAT, or Dolby Digital Plus.
