Yes. You can use Era 100 with the Surface Mount by removing the hook. Only portrait orientation is recommended for Era 100.

The software does not currently support Trueplay tuning for zones. Era 100 Pro supports Trueplay when used as a standalone speaker, when configured as a stereo pair, when paired with a subwoofer, and when used as rear speakers in a Sonos home theatre system.
